Message I have to face the dilemna each and every morning to choose between the following....

Red 92 Manual Z32 2+2
Blach 90 Auto Z32 2+2
Pearl 92 Manual Stealth 2+2

What do you want to know ?

the wife would have to drive the 300ZX to work.

Well, may I dare to ask....does she know how to use a manual trans...because the 3000 GT / Stealth (a.k.a. 3S) is manual only

The other is, when we have two kids, well that one is easy to figure out....

Wanna use a trailer ?
Or put the coffin on the roof ?

;-)

But after alot of thought I've decided to go with a 3000GT or a Stealth twin turbo.

Not a bad choice

It seems really weird to want something so bad for so long and then get something else.

Family choices....but anyway...you can still have a Z32 LATER.

If anybody has experience with the 3000GT Vr-4 or the Stealth TT, particularly how they compare with the TT (performance, quality, shifting, etc.), then let me know...I need some reassurance!

I know these cars....a "little"...
First of all, have a look at the [ www.3si.org ] (and keep in mind that people are complaining about things that do NOT work !!)

Performance wise, the Z32 and the Stealth / 3000 GT are VERY close in stock form, provided you KNOW how to drive them.

Neither the Z32 nor the Stealth are 1/4 mile cars (for different reasons), but both are in the "Japanese Supercars" territory (with the Toyota Supra and the Honda/Acura NSX)

Based on reports from e-friends in the state, be ready to face the same problems in the Nissan and in the Mitsu....in both cases, dealers do NOT know how to maintain them.
In both cases, Internet is your friend, and you'll get support from fellow drivers.

You can modify both cars to the 400 Hp range, then the 3S is a lot more expensive to modify.
IMHO, the Z has a better quality, but the 3s is certainly better than an Audi / BMW, so that's fine for me.

In both cases, I'd suggest that you get the dealer's manual (available on CD) to help you fix the car.

Both cars are not terribly hard to maintain. You can find "how to" on the net, and e-order parts.

Something you MUST be aware....do NOT get a 3S with a bad gearbox. These gearboxes are made by Getrag (a.k.a. Getrash by the 3S people) and you CANNOT repain them...you MUST exchange them....and that's VERY expensive....

Something nice about the 3S.....ANYONE can drive that car fast...even on rain or snow....the AWD really makes a difference.

Besides that, you can get either car, you will not be disappointed. If you have further questions, feel free to e-mail me

Zee you

PS : Don't you think Nissan is stupid NOT to have offered the 2+2 TT in the USA ?
